ALLOWED or not ALLOWED
Hello!
How are you?
To start work this week, a bit of recap (possibly).
L'impératif
L'impératif sert à donner un conseil, un ordre, une instruction...
Ex: Lisez mes articles! = Read my blogposts !
Il se construit en utilisant, SEULEMENT, la base verbale du verbe (le radical du verbe / Le verbe sans terminaison). |
C'est possiblement le temps le plus simple de la langue anglaise. Concrètement, il faut chercher un verbe anglais dans le dictionnaire, y rajouter un point d'exclamation à la fin et y mettre le ton (si vous l'utilisez à l'oral) et VOILA, vous avez fait une phrase à l'impératif! Merveilleux!
Ex: Walk! Breathe! Listen! Sleep! Stop!!!
Now... I'm asking you a bit more.
Ex: 1 – Read the sentences and transform them into orders, advice or instructions. (Concrètement, il vous faut trouver le verbe (l'action/activité) dans la phrase et parfois rajouter deux trois autres mots si nécessaire à la compréhension de la phrase.) Ex: Eating everyday is vital. > Eat! OU It is nice to do your English homework. > Do your homework!
1. It is important to wash your hands. > ____________________________________________ 2. Reading Miss Leon's blogposts is so so necessary. > ________________________________ 3. I think you should drive slower. > _______________________________________________ 4. You must stop talking. > ______________________________________________________ 5. You are allowed to sing! > _____________________________________________________
Et la version négative, dans tout ça? Tout aussi simple!
On rajoute “DON'T” devant le verbe. Eat >> DON'T eat! |
Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy!
Now, now... Have a look :
On this picture, there are many (plusieurs) things you are allowed to do and others (autres) you are not allowed to do.
To be allowed to = être autorisé à... Cette expression est toujours suivie de la BASE VERBALE. Pas de terminaison.
Ex: 2 – Organise the symbols in the right categories. Duck / video games / high heels (talons aiguilles) / fire / wifi / dog / underpants (sous-vêtements) / telephone / feather (plume) / dive (plonger / sneakers (basket) / mike (micro) / walk (marcher) / selfie-stick
Ex: 3 – Write ORIGINAL sentences using the symbols above (au dessus) to say what you are allowed or not allowed to do. (Au minimum 5 phrases!) Ex: Duck – You are not allowed to bring a duck to school. OU High heels – You are not allowed to wear high heels in a swimming pool.
